My partnership with stone began in 1996. I have been blessed to have some of the best dry stone wallers give me the incalculable benefit of their time and insight. With their encouragement, I have become one of only a handful of Americans to pass the rigorous testing required for an advanced certificate from the Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain.

Walling is the art of placing stone in such a way that gravity and friction, not mortar, hold the work together—often for centuries. I'm drawn to stone—perhaps as you are—by its strength, permenance and peacefulness. It challenges me as a craftsman and provides daily lessons in the value of both patience and humility.

I see each project as a chance for my clients to begin a long-standing relationship with the beauty of dry stone walling. I'm grateful that they—and stone—chose me.
